So it's pretty much fall now. I have had my first pumpkin spice latte, went to my first football game, and it's now hoodie weather. School is back in full swing and I am loving this season. I have been thinking about things lately though....
First, one of my friends from when I was in high school recently separated from her husband of one year. I'm really bumbed for her. It makes me really sad to think about how beautiful their wedding was and how just about a month ago, things seemed really great between them. She is a Christian, actually she's always been someone that I look up to, but I can't help but think how hard it must be, and she just started graduate school. And I complain about work and school and I'm not even in a relationship or anything. It makes me wonder if I could even handle it if I was. I'm not sure. I can only trust in God's plan for my life.
Second, I am so thankful for each and every person in my life that has been a spiritual role model for me. I have recently been part of a really tight group of friends at church that holds each other accountable and are just a great group of friends. Also, I work with a couple of the most spiritually mature men I have ever met and I love talking to them about Jesus. I am so thankful for my salvation and that I know I'm going to heaven. It makes working at a funeral home much easier.
Anyway, I better go now, but I just had these couple of things on my mind....
Have a good night!

God continually reassures me in my career choice
“For I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord. “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
So revival was this week and a lot of my friends in the past couple months have surrendered into missions. After revival I have seen a growth in my relationship with God and I have a real heart for lost people. I have always been a person with my whole life planned out and I don’t know what I would do if I was called to leave it all behind, but I want to be in the will of God, so during revival I prayed that God would confirm that I was in His will, because previously I felt I was, but it never hurts to have a reality check ;)
Anyway, I say all that to preface this: Today my supervisor at school told me that this lady, Ilene K. Gipson Ph.D., a Drury Alumnus, will be speaking at Drury next month. The kicker? She is a full professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School!!!!! AAAH! Also, my supervisor is going to see if she can get me a meeting with her!!! I am just daily amazed by how faithful God is when I doubt Him. Anyway, I must go study!! :D Have a great day!

Today I am kind of bumbed, confused, upset, not ready for the weekend to be over, but ready for next weekend already, tired, thankful, and hopeful. Yeah.

It's been a long day...
Well kids, school is back and in full swing again. I kinda hate that. I hate this time of year where the first week of school excitement has wore off and your new school supplies aren't in mint condition and you actually have homework to do and the weather is freakin' hot. Hasn't mother nature made us suffer through these sweltering temps enough? Now she's ruining school, too.
Anyway, my classes are getting a little more difficult now, a little more homework and such. I don't have big gaps in my day to get stuff done so I have to stay up late. And today is just busy, busy, busy. I have quartet practice at 3, work at 4, a fundraiser to go to at 5:45 and then I have to be home by 6:45 so my parents can pick me up to go to the Springfield Cardinals game. Wow! I can't be at church tonight, which stinks, but I might try to go to Applebee's....
Anyway, this is how I feel after walking home in the hot and thinking about how busy I am. Whew!
But then I get to see my bestest friend, get some extra hours at work, help out a friend, and see my family and such! :D
Hope you enjoyed those visuals haha!!!
Happy Wednesday! ♪♫

Moving out!
Well, as many of you know, last week I moved out of my parents' house and into the Honors House on campus. It's been very exciting, challenging, and fun!! Here's some pics of my new room, which I am totally loving!!!
The TV and my DVD collection (which contains mostly TBBT)
The door fit in just perfect!
Look at that matching fan!
Here are just a few things I have learned since moving out:
1. It's so fun to be able to do whatever the heck you want! You can eat whatever you want, whenever want, where ever you want! You can stay out til 2 in the morning, you can stay out all night! There is so much freedom!
2. You've heard it before: "With freedom comes responsibility." It's true. If you stay out too late, you have to set your alarm to get up early. If you eat in the living room and make a mess, Mom isn't going to go after you and pick it up. It's your job now.
3. Also, you have to buy your own food, decorations, and this is the worst: CLEANING SUPPLIES! And let me tell you, those things are expensive!!!! I spent $40 last night on cleaning stuff alone! Yuck!
4. It's just super fun and I think it's a great experience for anyone going to college. You learn to cook, create friendships, manage your time and just have fun!
In other news, after church today I decided that I needed to clean my car! So I went through the car wash, vacuumed it out and then put this cute little guy in there to make her smell good! This cute little air freshener smells so good and my bestest friend gave it to me!! :D

So since my last post I moved!
Here are a couple of pics... I want to post more later cause there is GREAT natural light in my room! Anyway, moving is weird and I'm still getting used to it... The new place.
Today I accidentally missed my first analytical chemistry lab. Oops! So my goal for tomorrow is to not miss any classes or my orchestra audition. Then after the very long day I have to rush to McAlister's for a fundraiser for Jeremy (a guy from my church who got in a terrible motorcycle accident and is in the hopsital) and then church! Yay! Hopefully I can have a sleep over too! :D Happy school year!

moving is scary stuff
I have never moved. Well, I've never remembered moving. When I was two my family moved from Strafford to Springfield, and we've lived in the same house for the past 18 years. Tomorrow is the first time I am ever going to remember moving and I don't even know what to bring. I haven't started packing clothing or anything, so right now I'm making my checklist (that I should have done weeks ago, I guess). Ooops!
