Hmm...

So it's pretty much fall now. I have had my first pumpkin spice latte, went to my first football game, and it's now hoodie weather. School is back in full swing and I am loving this season. I have been thinking about things lately though....

First, one of my friends from when I was in high school recently separated from her husband of one year. I'm really bumbed for her. It makes me really sad to think about how beautiful their wedding was and how just about a month ago, things seemed really great between them. She is a Christian, actually she's always been someone that I look up to, but I can't help but think how hard it must be, and she just started graduate school. And I complain about work and school and I'm not even in a relationship or anything. It makes me wonder if I could even handle it if I was. I'm not sure. I can only trust in God's plan for my life.

Second, I am so thankful for each and every person in my life that has been a spiritual role model for me. I have recently been part of a really tight group of friends at church that holds each other accountable and are just a great group of friends. Also, I work with a couple of the most spiritually mature men I have ever met and I love talking to them about Jesus. I am so thankful for my salvation and that I know I'm going to heaven. It makes working at a funeral home much easier.

Anyway, I better go now, but I just had these couple of things on my mind....

Have a good night!

God continually reassures me in my career choice

“For I know the plans I have for you” declares the Lord. “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

So revival was this week and a lot of my friends in the past couple months have surrendered into missions. After revival I have seen a growth in my relationship with God and I have a real heart for lost people. I have always been a person with my whole life planned out and I don’t know what I would do if I was called to leave it all behind, but I want to be in the will of God, so during revival I prayed that God would confirm that I was in His will, because previously I felt I was, but it never hurts to have a reality check ;)

Anyway, I say all that to preface this: Today my supervisor at school told me that this lady, Ilene K. Gipson Ph.D., a Drury Alumnus, will be speaking at Drury next month. The kicker? She is a full professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School!!!!! AAAH! Also, my supervisor is going to see if she can get me a meeting with her!!! I am just daily amazed by how faithful God is when I doubt Him. Anyway, I must go study!! :D Have a great day!

Overload.

Today I am kind of bumbed, confused, upset, not ready for the weekend to be over, but ready for next weekend already, tired, thankful, and hopeful. Yeah.
