Hello again! Pardon the cryptic and slightly despressing nature of the previous blog. I promised myself I wouldn't put that junk on this blog anymore, but hey, we all backslide now and then. Today, I am just sitting at the funeral home chilling until this evening when I am going to church and then hanging out with my bestest friends! It's been forever since we have all hung out! I miss it :( Well, anyway, I guess I will get to the actual nature of this post. A New (School) Year's Resolution!!!
Last year, I spent a lot of my breaks from class traveling to and fro. In other words, I went home a lot! What did that mean for me? I used a lot of gas (which got that terrible city gas mileage), I didn't use that time wisely and I ate on the go a lot. This year I don't want to do that. I don't want to go home as much. It would be really nice to only travel to school and back once in a day. This is going to allow me a lot more time finishing up homework while still at school and give me a lot more free time. In this free time, I want to start working out on a regular basis. Even if I don't go to the Drury gym, I still want to work out on the Wii or simply get outside more.
Also, by staying at school I will have to eat on campus, which means I can take advantage of the super healthy salad bar!! (And the occasional smoothie from the CX ;) ) My goal is to not lose weight or anything (although that would be a double bonus!) just to feel better and healthier. I just don't want to feel guilty everytime I eat something.
This is not to say that I am depressed about myself or anything. In fact, recently I have been super happy with where I am at. I love myself ( in a non-conceitful way) and have accepted myself. I just think this is the next step to me feeling even better about myself.
Well that's the business! I am now going to reveal the playlist of the week! What?! I don't have a playlist of the week? Well, then. I better start one!!! So last week, I was really in to Adele. I listened to that playlist while taking care of animals and such at Lisa's. Now, after listening to the mixed CD Tory gave me last Spring, I have been listening to Lady Gaga and some other popular stuff. So enjoy some heathenistic, worldly, unmoral yet completely infectious and catchy music!!!

new (school) year's resolution // studying
Right now I am listening to Adele's new song Rumor Has It. I love her voice because it sounds so retro :) Here's another great one from her!!
So, to get to what this post is all about..... my new (school) year's resolution!!!
~STUDYING~
I would like to have a new start with my study habits. I have had it pretty easy so far in college in the studying department. I rarely had to cram for tests and I really didn't put much effort into things. I have a feeling that is going to change thisy year. Big time. I am taking Organic Chemistry, which is a "weed-out" class and is going to be pretty difficult. In order to keep up I am going to try to make a few rules for myself.
1. If I have homework to do, whether it's due the next day or not, I will do it over other things, such as watching television, going out or getting on Facebook. Oh, who am I kidding?! I will definitely be on Facebook lol ;)
2. I will NOT wait until the last minute to do my homework. I am absolutely terrible about procrastinating. Like, right now I should be doing homework for my online class, but I am ok procrastinating now because the new school year hasn't started yet ;)
3. I will be more organized with my assignments and classwork. Papers from my classes always end up in a folder that they aren't supposed to be in. So this year I am going to vow to take an extra couple of seconds to make sure things are organized.
Well, I guess I should get a head start on this thing and do my assignment for my summer class.
In other news!! I bought the green rainboots cause they were the cheapest and I had a 20% off coupon and my mom gave me $12 on them! They are gonna look so cute!!!
Have a great weekend!!

looking back, reflections, learning from your mistakes, whatever you want to call it.
So I just went back and read all of my blog posts from this time last year. Actually, they were from September of last year. It seems as though I didn't do much blogging last summer. It is making me really excited for the upcoming school year. It also is making me see how much of a goofball I was when I graduated from high school. :) I am so excited for this school year that I am looking back on last year and trying to see what changes need to be made. I like to call this the new (school) year's resolutions!! I don't wan to give it all away at once, so I am going to make it a series. ('Cause those have totally worked out in the past!) I will probably start them Saturday or Sunday and continue whenever I feel like it ;)
In the meantime, I am going to reminisce about how much I have changed in the past year.
First of all....... I no longer find the liberal uses of the words wretched, hilarity, or blasphemy necessary in a conversation, but that's not to say that I stil don't use them occassionally ;)
Third....... I don't have an unhealthy obsession with the Jonas Brothers, although I still enjoy singing Burnin' Up in the car and still have a Jonas Brother calendar.
Fourth..... I find happiness in the little things instead of needing large trips to Disney World to make my day great :)
Fifth...... I am better at decision-making and almost always ask my mother's opinion, because, contrary to what every other teenager believes, "mother really does know best."
Anyway, I am really excited to post about school starting and the upcoming fall season. I just hope we actually have a fall since we didn't really have a spring.
Thanks for reading!!
