Festive Flashback!

Well, it has been quite a while since I posted a flashback. I have just been so tired of making DVDs and in such a hurry at work, I just haven't wanted to do it. BUT! This one DVD had so many cool vintage photos that I couldn't resist and I thought I would show you!

Isn't this lady's hair amazing??! And that dress is so cute!

This is absolutely the perfect photo. The scenery in the background, the dress, the hair, and the road just brings this all together. If I had a band, I would use some variation of this for my album art, for sure!

This was a picture from her wedding day. I love the flowery touch!

I also made a super secret Christmas project for my co-worker, Christina., and it turned out great! I am officially on Thanksgiving break now and I am LOVING it! Last night I never did get my homework done, but I literally have all week to do it!! :)

flashback frenzy!

Today I am going to post my very first Flashback Feature. Do you all think Flashback Frenzy is a good name? Any suggestions??

First I must make a disclaimer that I do not own any of these pictures and I cannot disclose any information about the people in the pictures (such as name, birthdate etc.). I'm going to post the pictures and why I love them :) Enjoy!!!

i'm loving the outfists throughout all of the pictures. especially in the picture on the right, the girl on the left.

how cute is this!!  i love vintage halloween!

 i am absolutely digging the neon colors. i remember wearing a lot of neons when i was a kid.

this woman with the ducks is just too cute! and how adorable is the little girl in that picture?  

i love how she's looking up to him in such adoration. i want to find the perfect guy that i can literally look up to!

such classy women!!! also fancying the pink dogwood (i think that's what it is) in the left picture! 

this reminds me of Brady Bunch for some reason. i think it's the car.

this picture is really cool cause the family used it as the last picture in the video. i just thought it was neat like she is venturing out into new waters.

Features?

So lately I have been thinking about better organizing this blog and allowing there to be "features." I'm contemplating just a few to begin and making only a couple of them regular. Here are my couple of ideas and why I want to create them.

Music Mondays: I have seen someone's blog with "Miscellaneous Mondays," but I am constanly either listening to or playing music and I find that music conveys the things that I feel better than words do. Therefore, I want to start a feature that includes the things I love most! My idea is to share not only just songs and lyrics that are inspiring me, but also music videos and possibly new bands I discover. Obviously this feature would be published every Monday.

Flashback Feature: As most/all of you know, I work at a funeral home. Really, I swear it's not that bad!! My job is actually kind of interesting. I not only clean/answer phones, but I am the only one who can work the computer pretty much when it comes to making DVDs for services. Our DVDs consist of merely pictures and songs, and allows me to come across hundreds of old vintage photos. I have always enjoyed looking at them, seeing the old styles and such, but I always felt like it was stealing to post them. BUT, I think if I just let everyone know that they are not mine and I don't disclose personal information, that I can get away with it, cause my blog readers number about 4. And I'm pretty sure you guys aren't going to steal these pictures. This feature wouldn't be a regular one (predictable) because I don't make DVDs everyday. It's actually extremely unpredictable when they come in, but I have a lot to catch up on, so we can just see how much this one appears.

Outfit Posts: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know this one is like super cliched, but I love reading other peoples' outfit posts!! Also, I have recently aquired a few vintage-y pieces that I want to start incorporating more. I have also been inspired by Mallory's recent blogs about wardrobe trends. I don't think I will title these features outfit posts, but I want to do something similar. Any suggestions??
