fed up!

no this post isn't a rant. i know, i know!! it looks like it! anyway, i was just going to say i'm sick of summer and ready for the school year. a new school year is like a fresh start!! you renew your study habits, refresh your stock of school supplies and get a new schedule, which always makes me experiment with what i want to do with my free time! :) i think i will post on that later! in the meantime i'm just checking in!!

i got on craigslist for the first time ever and it's crazy what people put on there!!

in other news, i'm looking for a cheap car!

im at work and should probably get off, so have a happy fourth!!! :D

organizada.....

today i am feeling the urge to re-organize my bedroom. i am going to have a garage sale in the fall to get rid of excess clutter and make room for important things. also, i have been saving A LOT of things and collecting them for the off chance that i do move out(which officially won't be happening for three years). i want to go through all of them and find a successful way of storing them until that time.

Here are a few of the main things I want to get rid of in my garage sale, so if you're looking for any of these things, let me know!!


1)  clothes........

i have so many clothes it isnt even funny. and i keep buying more!! i find them at thrift stores and garage sales and i just can't stop from buying them cause they are so cheap!! but then i go to do my laundry and i have no hangers or room in my closet. i don't have a dresser or anything, so i have to really be innovative with my clothes storage. the thing that i need to get rid of is all of my t-shirts. i probably have around 50 old t-shirts that i save because i think that i could use those or maybe i will need them to paint or work or something. i will for sure be going through all of my clothes to get rid of anything i havent wore in a year.

2. books

i have an entire bookshelf of books that i have read multiple times and i always think that i want to keep them, but i could really use that space for something else. i have a few collections of books like Harry Potter, Twilight and Lord of the Rings(which i have never ever read) that i want to keep, but i have so many that i just need to get rid of.

3. cds

i have so many cds. i want to get rid of them all, but i think i got rid of the cases. ooops! i want to put all of htem on my ipod and get rid of the actual cds for good. i was just thinking that i probably wouldn't be able to sell them without the cases, but i could use them as decorations in my music room i want in the future!!! maybe something like this.....

4. knick-knacks

i have a lot of these too. they are usually dollar store gifts from family members that needed a little something more to make a gift. i usually keep them cause i don't want to hurt their feelings, but since i do only have one room to decorate, i don't think i'm going to be able to keep up with them.

i'm hoping to make between $50 and $100 on this garage sale and i'm sure i will have more stuff than just this. i do need to look for a few large items to get rid of.... in the meantime i'm just trying to have fun thrifting and such this summer. hope you summer is going great!! :)

The Windy City

So I'm back to post more pics of the fun things we did while in Chicago!!! :)

Our trip was really really fun! These are only the best pictures from my phone, but I still have more to come!

In other news, tomorrow, my family and karasyn and i are going to look at my great grandma's house in hopes of renting it! I might post more on that later, but I hope it all works out!!

My Kind of Town......Chicago Is!!

So this past week I have been in CHICAGO!!!! And I absolutely loved it!!!! I am so ready to just move there right now!! I love the hustle and bustle of the big city, the huge skyscrapers and most of all, I loved taking...... yes. Public transportation. It seems like the "bum" way to travel around here in the midwest where everybody owns a car, but I loved it. Once we got to out hotel, we didn't even really have to drive.  Our hotel had a shuttle that took us to the train station, where we rode about an hour to get into downtown Chicago, that is, unless we caught the express which cut the time in half!

After arriving at the train station, we walked half a mile to the Sears Tower (now known as Willis Tower). The first day we went up there and it was totally WICKED!!!! You could see for miles!!!

Well, I think that is all I'm going to post about today. I will post more throughout the week about all the fun things we did :)

Right now, my mom and I are working on some stupid financial aid thing for school. Yeah, I know! Don't you wish you were here! You're missing out on all the fun!! Also, we have five whole hours of Days of Our Lives to catch up on!!!!! YEAH!! :D

My kind of town!!

sometimes...

i really want your statuses to be about me. or i really want you to talk to me, or acknowledge my existence. sometimes a simple, "hey :)" is all i need to brighten my day. i can't seem to get rid of this stupid feeling of inadequacy. 

at this point i just don't even care who you are, just come! i'm sick of waiting!

i thought i was over "you" but i'm not. too bad, so sad for me. 

why am i even posting anything on here? i'm so stupid! i just reread this and i sound like a doofus! 

hope this was worth the 2 minutes it took for you to read it! lol 

also, hope you are more successful in you "love life" than me! 

I'm getting really bad at this.

I have been skipping weeks at a time at blogging. Oh, well. I'm sure you're not too depressed about this. Anywho, the past week has been filled with some intense excursions including, but not limited to, thrift stores, garage sales, yummy food and sunburns. It's pretty much summer here in Springfield and I'm quite excited about getting tan. I can almost stand the hot. My summer school class starts tomorrow and I'm semi-nervous. Also, I have to work a few odd days this week, but I accepted the hours cause in two weeks I'm leaving for Chicago!! Woohoo!

This week I really want to visit Red Velvet for one of these!!!!!  I also am excited about Kelsey and I taking Karasyn to a secret place!! :) I want to post pictures of the cool things i found at the garage sales yesterday, but I can't figure out how to get them on here from my iPhone, therefor this post is going to be lame and boring. You'll get over it......hopefully.

Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying their summer, 'cause now everyone is officially on summer break.
