why am i such a nerd?

this question has never, ever been answered. by anyone. ever. since the beginning of time (actually, just kindergarten, which does seem like forever ago) i have loved school. i know, i'm weird. i love shopping for new school supplies, i love new classes and new teachers and trying to re-new good study habits (which probably doesn't last for more than 2 weeks.). then summer rolls around and after like three weeks i'm ready for school again.

well, this is exactly where i'm at right now. the school supplies and dorm decor has just been displayed at wal-mart and target and my anticipation is in full swing!! here are the thing that i want/need most for this school year.

last year i bought a brand new wireless scanner/printer/copier. i easily ran out of ink in like a day trying to print off music for orchestra. stupid me. i never replaced it either cause it's like $40.00 dollars to buy color and black ink at the same time. this year i will only be buying black ink at target for everyday printing.

next, as i said in a couple posts ago, i am wanting to organize my closet. in the sunday paper (that's today) there was an add for the 6-shelf organizer pictured on the right for only $6.88!! and there was also a 10-shelf organizer for shoes for the same price! that's like cheaper than the one hanging shelf i was going to buy at target! i love school supply sales!! maybe my closet organization will be sooner than i think!!

so last year i went in to the music office at school to get a locker for my violin, but you have to provide your own lock for them and they won't give you a locker until you prove you have a lock. well, i never got one, and it was a pain in the rear to have to worry about my violin everytime i had to take it to school, so this year i am going to get a lock! and STAPLES has them on sale for only $3....

college doesn't require a whole lot of school supplies, just the initial investment of a computer and then probably paper to take notes in class. since you don't have to buy a whole bunch of stupid crayons, colored pencils, scissors and such i try to splurge a bit in the paper aisle. i buy these fivestar MEAD one subject notebooks. some of its handy dandy features include a folder pocket on the inside to store handouts from class, a pen holder so you never have to search for a pen, and the cloth binding so those pesky wires don't snag your clothing!! they are the most perfect notebook a girl could ask for! they are a little pricey, but i don't mind since that's really all i need.

well, i just thought i would share some of the things i am wanting today. too bad i dont have a whole lot of money....

hope your back-to-school blues aren't too bad!!
