i've been thinking a lot today about where i want to be in life in different increments of time. yeah, yeah, yeah. i know i'm kind of a nerd. get over it. i know it seems cheesy, but it really does help if you write your goals down. i have a lot of ideas swirling around in my head right now and i really just feel like i need to organize them. if you don't care what my goals are, don't read this. i'm kind of just doing this for myself anyway. :)
in the next ten minutes... i would like to finish copying dvds for work. i also would like to finish this post so i can get back to reading my book ;) i'm reading Redeeming Love. it's such a great book.
in the next two days... i would like to practice my violin more. i have a concert coming up on thursday evening and i'm a little stressed about it. also, the jeremy larson show is creeping up fast. we have a rehearsal today. i hope this family gets done quick so i can leave (i am at work today...)
in the next two weeks... i would like to finish the process in becoming a member at Broadway. i am very excited that i have found such a great church to be a part of. i can't believe how God has provided me with such great friends and a great church to get me through.
i also am hoping to get my refund check from my loans in the next two weeks in which i intend to put into my savings account. i am really bad at savings and my refund is going to be quite a bit, so i'm hoping to get a really good start on a savings account for a car (i am going to need a new car when i go to medical school).
oh and fun fact!!
i will be 19 in two weeks :)
in the next year... i would like to officially declare my major. right now i am with biology, but i am not currently enrolled in biology classes. i am in chemistry. and it is pretty much rockin' my world. i love chemistry. last semester was ok, but this semester it rocks cause i have such a great professor. he gets so excited about it and he actually applies it to real life. a lot of times to biology. in high school i loved biology and the subject still really intrigues me. i think the main source of my choice in biology was that i really didn't care for my chemistry teacher in high school. she pretty much sucked. anyway, i really want to get on the ball with getting ready for medical school. its going to sneak up so fast!!
also in the next year i would like to have a different job. actually this could probably go into the two year plan, but what the heck. right now my job is kinda perfect for school cause i can study and such while i'm here. also, i get paid to sit here and blog. how cool is that? but. i have crappy hours. i work every friday night, saturday night, and sunday day. i think i would be ok with working the weekend evenings, but i am here ALL day on sunday. this prohibits me from going to church on sunday mornings, eating out sunday lunch with my family, and having lazy sunday afternoons to do my homework or hang out. then when i leave work i go straight to church. i usually hangout with my friends after church, which leaves me like never seeing my family. ever. and i really like to at least see them once a week. when my cousin, Kristy, was my age she was NEVER around and it always really made me mad that my aunt didn't make her go to church or come over or anything. also, i feel like its such a big hassle if i ask off and stuff. its really annoying. i just want a job where they are flexible and the things i do, anyone can do. at the greenhouse, everybody did everything. here, i have to clean and do DVDs and computer stuff. and nobody else does it. if i don't do it, it doesn't get done. i really feel like i'm being used here and when i ask off, it's such a BIG deal... get over it people. i have a life, too!!! i think the thing that really gets me is that nobody understands. they are all old. i am in college and i am stuck between having a job and wanting to have a life. its like everytime i come in to work, they ask me what's been up lately. i haven't been on my A-game and i'm flustered all the time. it's cause i'm sick of this routine. i hate weekends. i have none. my weekends belong to the funeral home. how lame.
i know that over the summer i would like to try to work at the greenhouse again. its such an easy going job. i need a change, that's for sure. even if i have to work it on top of the funeral home, i would like to. this would also help my savings.
oh and did i mention i plan on helping Karasyn plan her wedding!!!! that's going to be like one of my most exciting days yet!!! i am so happy that Karasyn and Tyler are together. they are super awesome people!!! i can't wait to help them plan the best day of their lives!!!! :) <3 :) <3 :)
in the next two years... i would like to be able start applying for medical school. i want to feel really confident that i have done my best in college to prepare for med school and i want to have a stable grade point average. last semester spanish really hurt my GPA. i say really, but i guess it didn't too much. i wanted to keep my 4.0 through college, but i got an A- in spanish and it dropped my semester GPA to 3.93 and my cummulative GPA to 3.97. i hope i can get it up to a 3.99 by the time i apply for med school. i also really want to go to Mizzou. I have always really wanted to go there and i hope it comes as easily as Drury did. I am so thankful that I am actually having the chance to live out my dream. :)
i also, as mentioned before, like to have another job. for Drury's pre-med program you have to do an internship for your junior and senior years. i would like to maybe find a job at st. johns as a runner, or whatever they are called, or do an internship with Mattax Neu Prater. that would be neat!
in the next five years... i would like to have moved out of my parents house and gotten my own apartment in columbia, missouri and be in medical school at Mizzou. This is my plan as of right now. i will be well on my way to becoming a doctor. :) sounds like a great plan to me.
i'm not sure where else i want to be at this time. i would like to have found someone to spend my life with, but i am utterly terrified of letting that get in the way of my dreams. if i do find someone at this time they will for sure have to support me 100% in my aspirations.
in the next ten years... i would like to be Dr. Brianna Cline (maybe another name... hehe) M.D. ophthalmologist. that would be a really great thing for me. i want to prove to my family and everyone else that i can do it. i can do well in school and i can be involved in things and work and have a life. i can do it. i will do it. once i have reached that point in life i really want to make a difference in the world. i want to bring eyesight to the people who otherwise may have been visually impaired so that they can see the wonderful world that God has given us. i also would like to do missions around the world and bring good eye care to places around the world that don't have it. i want to target spanish speaking countries because i have a little teeny tiny background in spanish. i want to possibly be married and live in Springfield again. i want to be here with all of my friends and famiy. i am so terrified that over the course of medical school my friends will have "moved on" and when i come back they will be too busy for me because our lives will have changed. i am so afraid this will happen.
i hope this wasn't too boring, if you actually did read all of this. it's nice to write things down on the internet where you can always find it. i can always come back to this and see how far i've come :)

Brianna! I enjoyed reading this blog. I know you can do it all and become a doctor and be awesome at it! It makes me proud just to be your friend hehe. I love that you have it all planned out, I have like nothing planned in my life lol.
Thanks Jennifer!! :)
Don't worry about the future, either.
