So I literally just went through and read every post on the this blog since the very beginning, while I was still in high school. All I can say is, wow. I'm really sorry for anyone who read any of that! The last time I posted on here was when I had moved into the Honors House at Drury. My life has changed so much since then, so here I go, to update ya!
- I moved out of my parents house, lived at Drury for two semesters, loved it, then hated it, and then I moved out early so I could move back home.
- My best friend and her boyfriend broke up, twice. With much drama ensuing due to that.
-My best friend started dating another guy, who I truly believe is her soul mate. I love them both to death and couldn't be happier for them.
- I made a new best friend, Rebecca! This is the biggest difference from last year. Rebecca and I like twins, for real. We think the same, we talk the same, love the same things, and much more. It seems like we have known each other since kindergarten, but it's only been like a year!
- I finished my junior year at Drury, which totally sucked. But my junior year of high school wasn't too hot either, I suppose. I also finished the fall semester of my senior year. I only have one semester left! I just finished one of the most rigorous semesters yet, with a 9 hr a week anatomy course, which I aced!!
- I started and am just about done with an internship at the Vision Rehab Center of the Ozarks, which has been a really defining experience in my education.
- I began a second job. It's on campus and is really fun! I also have like the best boss ever.
- I have started the application process to medical school! Still waiting to hear from a school in Des Moines, Iowa. Things are not looking good though. It's so late in the game, I'm afraid they won't have an open spot. I may have to wait and apply next year.
- I have also considered going to school to become an optometrist. This idea is pending.
- Many friends of mine have gotten married and engaged, and some have even moved away. It's weird being the age that everyone's life is changing, when yours doesn't seem to change much, but looking back at this blog, I have noticed many changes not only in the things I've experienced, but also in the way that I respond to those things and my attitude. I hope to be able to keep up this blogging thing because it really is a great way of looking back on what you have experienced; kind of like a diary. I just can't seem to stick with it. Oh, well.
